Histute is committed to providing a transparent and efficient payment system for learners and instructors. This section outlines the policies governing course pricing, payment processing, instructor earnings, and our current approach to refunds.

6.1. Course Pricing

  • Instructors have the flexibility to set the prices for their courses; however, they must comply with Histute’s pricing guidelines to ensure fairness and competitiveness. (For more details, see our Pricing Guidelines)
  • Histute may provide pricing recommendations based on market trends, course quality, user demand, and competitive analysis to help instructors optimize their earnings while ensuring accessibility for learners.
  • Course pricing may be subject to periodic discounts, promotions, or platform-wide sales, either initiated by instructors or facilitated by Histute to boost course enrollment.

6.2. Platform Fees and Payment Processing

  • Transaction Fees: All payments made on Histute are subject to processing fees, applicable taxes, and exchange rate adjustments based on the user’s location. These charges are determined by our third-party payment processors.

Histute supports instructors in monetizing their expertise while maintaining a fair revenue-sharing structure. Instructor earnings are calculated as follows:

    • Instructors who promote their own courses using personalized coupons or referral links are eligible for a higher revenue share. (For more details, refer to the Instructor Terms)

    • Payments are made through PayPal or Paystack.

6.4. Refund Policy

At this time, Histute does not have a formal refund policy in place, meaning we are currently unable to process direct refunds. However, we acknowledge the importance of customer satisfaction and are actively working on developing a comprehensive refund model that aligns with industry best practices.

Why We Don’t Currently Offer Refunds

We understand that the absence of a refund policy may be frustrating, and we want to be fully transparent about our approach:

  • Sustainability: Our goal is to maintain a sustainable platform that supports course development, instructor compensation, and continuous platform improvements.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Implementing a robust refund policy involves navigating various legal, financial, and operational requirements.
  • Digital Content Access: Unlike physical products, digital courses are instantly accessible, making traditional refund policies more complex.

What We Are Doing to Improve

While we finalize our refund policy, we are taking proactive steps to enhance customer satisfaction:

  1. Evaluating Refund Criteria – We are studying industry standards to develop a fair and transparent refund policy.
  2. Dedicated Support Team – We offer alternative resolutions such as course credits, replacements, or personalized assistance for dissatisfied users.
  3. Customer Feedback – We actively listen to our users and welcome feedback on how to improve our policies and services.

What to Do If You’re Unsatisfied

Although we do not offer refunds at this time, we encourage users to reach out to our support team for assistance. Depending on the issue, we may be able to:

  • Troubleshoot technical problems related to course access or platform functionality.
  • Offer alternative solutions, such as course credits or enrollment in a different course.
  • Work with instructors to address content-related concerns or clarify learning expectations.

Looking Ahead

Histute is committed to introducing a clear and structured refund policy in the near future. We will keep our users informed about updates and changes, ensuring that our approach to refunds is fair, balanced, and aligned with customer needs.
